RemoteLock is a leading provider of wireless smart lock systems for multi-unit vacation rental owners, apartments, and homeowners. In July 2017, we began working with the RemoteLock team to improve their online sales and customer experience.
The Challenge
With three separate websites, RemoteLock had previously used different domains to segment their products. But over time the RemoteLock team had added pages, resulting in messy messaging, confusing branding and many reporting challenges.

The Solution
Product websites should target segments for the discovery process based on jobs-to-be-done.
Alloy collaborated with the RemoteLock team to reimagine the messaging architecture using Jobs-to-be-Done to identify and segment buyers by the application of their technology. This led to an architecture that better supports each customer segment discovery process. RemoteLock’s new website speaks to visitors in their language, providing a great customer centric experience and benefiting the site’s traffic. RemoteLock is now gaining organic rankings and its converting better than ever.

In addition to creating a new website that is serves as a seamless path to discovery for small and commercial business buyers, we wrote content that highlights RemoteLock’s strong partnerships with Airbnb and VRBO.
